Established on April 20, 1995, the Kansas Organization for Victim Assistance (KOVA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote fair treatment for victims of crime.

Our Mission

To honor the experiences of people affected by crime and those who serve them by:

  • Cultivating high quality educational opportunities responsive to the diverse needs in the victim services field;
  • Raising awareness among victim service providers of Kansas legislative departments that impact crime victims; and
  • Unifying and supporting a network of victim-centered service providers.

About KOVA

Membership is open to any individual, organization, or student committed to addressing the needs of crime victims. As an organization of individuals and professionals committed to ending violence, KOVA stands against racism and injustice in all forms. Antiracism is central to the work of our organization.

Meeting Info

Meetings take place bimonthly via Zoom. Prior to each meeting, KOVA provides "Lunch and Learn" opportunities for its members. Each presentation lasts approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour with the board meeting immediately following. Agenda and meeting location information are emailed to all KOVA members prior to each meeting.
